ABOUT
CATIE MURRAY
Mezzo-Soprano
A native west-sider of Cincinnati, Catie grew up loving everything having to do with performing on the stage. Studying tap, ballet and jazz throughout her childhood lead her to performing in the spring musicals while a student at McAuley High School. Her love for music education grew under the direction of Mary White and Cindy Webb while a member in the McAuley & LaSalle Vocal Ensemble.
Yearning to be a high school choir director, she furthered her education at Mount Saint Joseph University earning a B.A. in Music Education in 2015. All came to fruition when she became the Choir and Drama Director at Roger Bacon in the fall of 2016. While at Roger Bacon, she directed ten Drama Guild productions, developed and directed the Chamber Choir and The Roger Bacon Chorale and taught various theater electives.
Since leaving Roger Bacon in the fall of 2021, she returned to private vocal teaching at ETB Music & Fine Arts Center. She recently studied under Dr. Brenda Lang at Cincinnati Music Academy and sings for Catholic masses, weddings and funerals in the tri-state area. She enjoys spending time with her nieces and family, attending performances at the Aronoff Center and Music Hall in Cincinnati.
